Launching tees applicationsLaunching Tees are fixed to the gas pipes and are used to carry out drilling, insertion and removal of the inflatable stoppers under pressure.
Versions and sizesThese are manufactured in two versions:
- Tees for electrowelding onto PE pipes: 110, 125, 160, 200, 250 and 315
- Tees for cast iron pipes: 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300.
Operational description To make the launching process easier, we have prepared explanatory brochures, using illustrations to give a detailed explanation of the operational procedures, in accordance with standard NT-520-D, "Polyethylene pipe sealing procedure..."
Identification Each Torre launching Tee carries its corresponding batch number.
Protective sleeveWhen launching is carried out on cast iron pipes, a protective steel sleeve should be inserted to prevent the stopper from being torn during the removal process. Each launching equipment contains four protective sleeves for this purpose.
Double ballooningThe sealing procedure by pneumatic stopping method prescribed by standard NT-520-D entails the introduction and subsequent inflation of two stoppers counter-positioned in the area where the gas supply is to be interrupted.
