GIGA - UNDER PRESSURE DRILLING KIT

Under pressure drilling kit applications
Giga kit is used in the installation of Giga 2½", 3" and 4" tees. Contains the necessary elements for drilling pipes of cast iron, asbestos cement, PVC and polyethylene.

Versions
Supplied in two versions: Standard and Complete. The standard version does not contain the drilling machine or the ratchet wrench and must be used with Golf or Cedec equipment. The complete version contains all the elements needed to drill the pipe and fit the saddles.

Drilling machine
The drilling machine, supplied in the complete version, is manufactured completely in hardened steel. The compact nature of this drilling machine makes it ideal for use in areas with restricted accessibility. It comes with a drain valve for emptying shavings accumulated during drilling.

Operating the drilling machine
The drilling machine is designed to be activated by means of the ratchet wrench, which is supplied along with the kit, or with an electric, pneumatic or hydraulic motor.

Cutters
The kit includes the cutters and drill bits necessary for perforating ductile iron, cement asbestos and polyethylene pipes. All the Torre cutters have an exclusive system for securing them to the drill by an octagonal connection. FDW cutters can be used on ductile iron pipes up to DN 300 and on cement asbestos pipes up to DN 300 Class D. PE cutters can be used on polyethylene pipes. (maximum SDR11 Ø315).

Kit maintenance
In spite of the fact that this kit does not require any special maintenance, it is advisable to clean and lubricate the drilling machine from time to time. It is also recommended to dry the kit after each use to avoid limescale deposits.
