Torre line stopping service

TORRE will go where needed to stop the flow of fluids (whether gas or water) through simple or double inflatable stoppers. It will also provide the by-pass if necessary.

In the case of polyethylene pipes, it will also carry out the electrofusion of the tee to the pipes and perform the corresponding water-tightness tests.

Pipe Characteristics

All types of pipes can be blocked (polyethylene, cast iron and steel), measuring from 63mm to 250mm and supporting pressure of up to 5 bar.

Material Required

The device used consists of a sealing system which allows under pressure pipes to be drilled in order to stop the flow of gas or for venting purposes.
Torre will provide all the necessary and appropriate equipment to carry out the drilling. Some services can be carried out directly by the installer with the appropriate tools and equipment depending on each case.

Certificates and Approvals

Torre’s team of experts has the necessary training to carry out their tasks with the maximum safety. At the same time, it has enacted procedures which fulfil the requirements established in the standard NT-520-E for polyethylene and the Manual regarding work on under pressure steel and cast iron pipes.

Its welders are also certified according to the general procedure for polyethylene welding as issued by Sedigas.
