At the beginning of this year, after several months of tests, a bank of full-scale hydraulic pump test stands used to carry out tests on rated operating conditions of component parts in water supply networks entered into operation. This facility has a system with a DN 160 main circuit, with a transparent testing section and parallel circuits to simulate various kinds of bypass. This circuit allows a flow rate of up to 85 m3/h of water at variable pressures. It has sophisticated measuring and control systems, which include a high-precision, ultrasound system for measuring water flow and speed. The availability of this facility not only enables the testing of component parts in our product range designed for water networks, but also the testing of operating protocols to achieve optimum performance and improved safety.
